In May 2010 HUD published a new rule which eliminated "mini-eagle" correspondents.

This means small shops and mortgage brokers can no longer be "FHA approved" unless they have a plan in place to meet the $1 million dollar net worth requirement.

There is an exception available. You can still originate FHA Reverse Mortgages if you are sponsored by a FULL EAGLE Lender like Value Financial.
